Alertswiss

Alertswiss is an app developed by the Swiss Federal Office for Civil Protection and is designed to help Swiss citizens stay safe in case of a disaster. This app not only notifies you of emergencies but also suggests steps you can to take to stay safe.

After installing Alertswiss, the first thing you’ll have to do is choose what regions you want to receive notifications about. Alternatively, you let the app detect your location and be notified about any nearby emergencies.

Alertswiss sends two differs types of notifications. First it sends alerts, that have been issued by the appropriate authorities, that inform you of immediate risks and what action to take. On the other hand, the app also sends out warnings, that inform you of potential risked and provide recommendations.
